Media Studies is offered as both GCSE and A Level subjects. These two courses are designed to greatly enhance students’ enjoyment and appreciation across a wide range of media. Our overall aim is to help them develop a deeper critical understanding of media texts, institutions, representations and audiences.

Our students explore production processes and new technologies, as well as cultivate their own independent research skills. The development of new ideas and interpretations are thoroughly investigated through a range of media texts.

Film Studies is offered as an A Level subject. This course affords students the opportunity to develop a far greater understanding and enjoyment of film through the study of a range of different film genres and styles drawn from Hollywood, Britain and World cinema.
